McDonald’s Corp. is expanding its Signature Crafted Recipe lineup with the new Bacon Smokehouse Burger.
Made with thick-cut applewood smoked bacon, sweet and smoky bacon-onion sauce, crispy fried onion strings, white cheddar cheese and a mild sweet mustard sauce, the burger may be prepared with either a single or double quarter-pound beef patty.
Customers may also purchase the Bacon Smokehouse with Buttermilk Crispy Chicken or Artisan Grilled Chicken instead of beef.
The Bacon Smokehouse burger became available nationwide at participating US restaurants beginning in early July.
McDonald’s USA began selling fresh, not-frozen, beef that is cooked when ordered for its Quarter Pounder and Signature Crafted Recipe burgers in March 2018. The fresh beef was available in approximately 3,500 restaurants in March and was served in all participating restaurants in the contiguous United States by early May, the company said. McDonald’s first announced its plan to switch to fresh beef from frozen in March 2017.
