CUDAHY, Wis. – Visitors to the Wisconsin State Fair on Aug. 10 had the chance to enjoy some Sweet Apple-Wood Smoked bacon, deli hams, salami and pepperoni from Patrick Cudahy. For the 19th year, the deli meat brand celebrated the Annual Patrick Cudahy Day at the Wisconsin State Fair. The fair runs from Aug. 2 through 12 in West Allis, Wisconsin, a suburb of Milwaukee.
The Patrick Cudahy Pack House mobile tour set up in Central Park on Aug. 10. Fairgoers particpated in bacon-themed games and received samples, recipes and coupons. Visitors can try products from Patrick Cudahy, Nathan’s Famous and Eckrich including Patrick Cudahy’s Ham Trio on a Stick, Nathan’s Famous premium beef hot dogs and Eckrich Deli’s Turkey Appetizer.
The company also sponsored the Thyme for Bacon Tailgate Bake Off! contest where three finalists from the 2017 recipe contest showcased their dishes featuring Patrick Cudahy ham and bacon. The winner from the 2018 contest will take home a prize of free bacon and $250.
In addition, for the third year in a row, Patrick Cudahy hosted the Chop’d cooking competition on Aug. 10. Local television and radio personalities helped with the competition which featured three rounds of recipes including an appetizer, main dish and dessert using Patrick Cudahy and Smithfield brands. The winning team recieved one year’s worth of free bacon or deli item.
