CHICAGO – Pre Brands’ full line of grass-fed beef is now Non-GMO Project Verified. Consumers who buy Pre Brands’ grass-fed beef might notice a new label on the product package — and that is the only attribute about the product that’s changed, according to the company.
“It’s a third-party certification of a quality our products have always had, alongside other rigorous specifications that result in the most consistent, best-tasting, highest quality beef in the world. We want consumers to love the eating experience but also — just as importantly — feel good about choosing Pre from health, safety and social perspectives,” said Patricia Willmot, COO at Pre.
The Non-GMO Project Verified label indicates that animals were not fed a diet containing genetically modified crops. Pre said the cattle sourced for the company’s products consume only grass – never grain.
“We’re proud to be Non-GMO Project Verified and excited to confirm for consumers what has always been true,” said Lenny Lebovich, Pre founder and CEO. “We hope it instills further confidence in those who want the best for themselves and their families.”
Pre Brands sells steaks, ground beef and seasonal cuts nationally via online retailers such as Meijer, Mariano's, Amazon Fresh, Heinen's, select Jewel-Osco's and select Spartan-Nash Grocery stores.
