WASHINGTON – Richmond, Virginia-based Ukrop’s Homestyle Foods recalled approximately 18,296 lbs. of ready-to-eat meat and poultry deli-sliced products. The US Dept. of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) said the products may be adulterated with Listeria monocytogenes.
The problem was discovered on Oct. 4, 2018, when FSIS received notification from Ukrop’s that it had received and processed products implicated in the Johnston County Hams recall.
The meat was produced by the company between Sept. 14 and Oct. 3.
The products were shipped to retail locations in Kentucky, Ohio, Tennessee, Virginia and West Virginia. The meat subject to recall bear establishment number “EST.19979” inside the USDA mark of inspection.
