WASHINGTON – During the National Chicken Council annual conference on Oct. 31, Mark Kaminsky, the chief operating officer at Koch Foods, took the position of NCC chairman for 2018-19.
Kaminsky started with Koch Foods in 1990 working on the financial side of the business, but learned the operations side in 1996 when the company became a vertically integrated poultry company.
The NCC also named Wayne Farms president and CEO Clint Rivers as the vice chairman for the upcoming year. Rivers joined Wayne Farms in October 2012 as vice president and general manager of the Fresh Business unit. In 2014, he was promoted to COO, and in 2017, promoted to his current position.
Lastly, NCC recognized Trent Goins, president and CEO of OK Foods, as the secretary-treasurer for the group. Over the past 15 years, Goins has held various positions within the company including vice president of sales and marketing and regional sales manager.
Each person serves for a one-year term.
Mike Brown was also elected to his sixth term as president of NCC during the conference.
“I want to personally thank Immediate Past Chairman Ben Harrison for the leadership and stewardship he displayed at the council during his chairmanship,” Brown said. “I look forward to leaning on the vast knowledge of Mark, Clint, and Trent to help guide our organization and the industry in the coming year.”
