WILLMAR, Minn. – Jennie-O Turkey Store, a subsidiary of Hormel Foods, announced a few executive changes including a new vice president of operations.
Matt Schrupp, who works as the live production vice president, will move over to lead operations. Schrupp has held his current position since 2015 and first jointed Jennie-O in 1992. He has worked in various areas of operations including plant management, industrial engineering and operations management.
Melanie Faust, the current vice president of operations, will be assuming the position of vice president of human resources and administration upon the retirement of Pat Solheid in May 2019.
Solheid started with Jerome Foods in 1986 and has moved up the human resource ladder of the company since then. With the merger of Jennie-O and The Turkey Store Company in 2001, she became the director of employee relations and transferred to the Willmar corporate office in 2002. She has held her current position since 2005.
Faust moved to Jennie-O in 2017 from the position of director of operations in China for Hormel Foods International Corp., a position she’s held since 2014. She began her career at Hormel Foods in 1995.
“While we will miss the leadership and dedication Pat has provided to Jennie-O Turkey Store, I am confident that Melanie will bring a great perspective to human resources based on her broad background and base of experience,” said Steve Lykken, president of Jennie-O Turkey Store. “Matt’s experience in operations coupled with his recent experience in live production will be very beneficial as he takes over leadership in operations.”
