SALISBURY, Md. – Perdue Farms confirmed that Steven Evans, president of the company’s prepared foods division, has resigned. In a statement, the company said Evans “…is leaving to pursue other opportunities. In the interim, CEO Randy Day will assume additional responsibility for the Prepared Foods business.”
Evans returned to Perdue in May 2016 after more than two years as CEO of Seaford, Delaware-based Allen Harim.
Evans first joined Perdue in 1985 and held numerous sales and marketing roles of increasing responsibility. In 2009, he was promoted to vice president of marketing, vice president of sales and marketing and senior vice president of retail sales and marketing.
By 2011 he was promoted to senior vice president of sales and supply chain, where he was responsible for driving sales in the foodservice, international, and wholesale and industrial channels in addition to leading the supply, demand, customer service, logistics and transportation functions at the company.
