AURORA, Ill. – OSI Group LLC announced its acquisition of Rose Packing Company Inc. on April 8. Rose is a fifth generation, family-owned and operated pork processor headquartered in Chicago. The company has more than 700 employees.

"Strategically, the Rose acquisition complements our existing business and directly supports our growth strategy by providing new processing capabilities, additional capacity, and a strong sales presence in attractive channels. Culturally, we share with Rose a deep commitment to our customers to provide them unique, innovative solutions.”
According to the OSI release, Rose Packing CEO Dwight Stiehl will be retained after the acquisition along with the rest of the company’s management team.

OSI also said it is acquiring all of Rose Packing Company’s assets as part of the transaction. The terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
