TECUMSEH, Neb. — A Tecumseh Poultry LLC poultry, a subsidiary of Tyson Foods, is under investigation following a fire on April 5 in a chicken barn.  

KOLN in Nebraska reported that the State Fire Marshal’s office will be in charge of the investigation.

“We’re investigating a fire that happened at a company owned farm in Nebraska late Friday,” said Worth Sparkman, Tyson Foods spokesman. “Thankfully, no one was injured. We appreciate the quick response of local firefighters who assisted our team.”

Tyson Foods acquired Tecumseh Poultry in June 2018. Tecumseh Poultry produces the Smart Chicken brand of air-chilled poultry products.
