NORTHGLENN, Colo. – Niman Ranch, a community of more than 720 independent farmers and ranchers who raise Certified Humane livestock, and the National Young Farmers Coalition (NYFC) will offer more than 740 family farmers a free NYFC membership. Niman will cover the membership for the next three years for any interested farmers and ranchers within their network.
“We are thrilled to further bolster our partnership with the National Young Farmers Coalition, an organization that has proven itself to be a tremendous resource to young and beginning farmers across the country,” said Chris Oliviero, Niman Ranch general manager. “Starting out as a young farmer is no simple feat and offering membership to the National Young Farmers Coalition is just one more way we are helping support this next generation."
The latest announcement builds on Niman Ranch’s Young Farmer 2.0 program that it has implemented since 2017.
Niman Ranch and the National Young Farmers Coalition have been working collaboratively for over two years. In January 2018, Niman Ranch announced the company had raised nearly $100,000 in support of the Coalition to help grow the next generation of sustainable farmers.
