LAKE SUCCESS, N.Y. – Kevin McGahren has been named president of North America for the Hain Celestial Group Inc. In his new role he will be responsible for leading Hain Celestial’s teams in North America, including marketing and research and development.

McGahren most recently was president of Dancing Deer Baking Co., a Boston-based dessert and snacks company. Earlier, he was president of American Beverage Corp. and president of the North American Branded Group of Royal Wessanen n.v. Prior to Royal Wessanen, he was vice president of marketing at Nabisco, and he also worked as a senior category business director for the Kraft Foods Group and general manager for Pollio Italian Cheese Co.

He received a bachelor’s degree in economics and English from the College of William and Mary and a master’s degree in marketing and general management from Northwestern Univ.

McGahren’s hiring comes amid a flurry of changes at Hain Celestial, which has undertaken an initiative to restructure its North American business to reduce layers, create centers of excellence and refocus resources. The company has shuffled its leadership team significantly since November 2018, recently adding Jeff George as senior vice president of research and development, and Jerry Wolfe as chief supply chain officer.
