Ellis Eugene “Gene” George, 88, chairman of George’s Inc., died after a short illness.

A fourth-generation, family-owned company, George’s Inc. has operations in Arkansas, Missouri and Virginia. More than 4,000 people are employed by the company, which produces approximately 5 million broilers per week.
