GAINESVILLE, Ga. – Foundation Food Group Inc. (FFG), a poultry further processor and joint venture Prime-Pak Foods Inc. and Victory Processing Inc., announced that Bernard “B.J.” Svajgl will be the senior vice president of operations for the company.
Svajgl will work in four FFG processing plants that feature par fry, IF, fully cooked and marinated flat pack processing capabilities. In the new job, he will try to increase efficiencies, drive cost savings and maximize food safety along with supporting the company’s growing business interests.
“With his industry-recognized track record of increasing productivity and proficiency in the food business, B.J. will help us take advantage of our largest growth opportunities,” said FFG CEO Jerry Wilson. “His diverse knowledge and drive will be instrumental in taking our operations to the next level.”
Svajgl comes from Pilgrim’s Pride Corp., a subsidiary of JBS USA, where he worked as operations manager. At Pilgrim’s, he oversaw a complete overhaul of processes and standards in the company’s Waco plant. Before working there, he held several jobs at Keystone Foods over 16 years, including general manager.
Svajgl has a Bachelor of Science degree from Oklahoma State Univ.
