WASHINGTON – Columbus, Ohio-based Ezzo Sausage Co. recalled approximately 25,115 lbs. of fully cooked sausage products that may be adulterated by Listeria monocytogenes, according to the US Dept. of Agriculture’s (USDA) Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS).
The problem was discovered when the firm notified FSIS of a positive sample result for Listeria monocytogenes.
The ready-to-eat sausage products were produced on Oct. 29-30, 2019 and Nov. 5, 2019. FSIS released a spreadsheet that contains a list of recalled items which can be found here.
Ezzo Sausage products subject to recall bear establishment number “EST. 1838A” inside the USDA mark of inspection. These items were shipped to distribution centers in Indiana and Ohio.
