Beef & Bacon Custom processing, in Calhoun, Kentucky, endured extensive fire damage on Feb. 11.
The company released a short statement on Facebook saying that owner Wesley Spurrier had some burns on his face and hands, “but nothing too terrible.”
“Thank you all for lots of texts and calls. Just to give you an update,” the Beef & Bacon Custom Facebook page said. “There is extensive fire and smoke damage.”
Beef & Bacon said it would update more information soon but to call the owner’s cell phone number, (270) 925-7839, since the landline was burned in the fire.
The Mclean County News reported that the local fire district and the Beech Grove Volunteer Fire Department were on-site shortly after the fire started, according to McLean County Fire Chief Jimmy VanCleve.
The cause of the fire has yet to be determined. It is still being investigated by the Office of the State Fire Marshal.
