SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. – Country Archer Provisions, formerly known as Country Archer Jerky Co., announced a new line of zero-sugar beef jerky that will premiere at the Natural Products Expo West, held March 3-7.
According to the company, the jerky is sugar- and soy-free with flavors including Spicy Sesame Garlic, Mustard BBQ and Classic. Country Archer wants the meat snack to benefit Keto, low-carb and low-sugar consumers.
“We’re always striving to elevate our offerings with fresh innovation that meets the evolving needs of better-for-you shoppers, and our new Zero Sugar line, was born from this commitment,” said co-founder and CEO of Country Archer, Eugene Kang. “Keto, low-carb and low-sugar specialty diets are surging in popularity, building higher demand for recognizable ingredients and sustainable proteins.”
Country Archer worked with Chef Will Horowitz, owner of Ducks Eatery in New York City to develop the recipes for the product.
“Although I’m based in one of the epicenters of the culinary world in Manhattan, I find myself most at home and at peace in the mountains – living sustainably. So, partnering with Country Archer, knowing we share the same values in sustainability, real ingredients, and authentic food crafting was a no brainer,” Horowitz said.
The meat snack company always uses lean, USDA inspected 100 percent grass-fed beef free of nitrites, MSG, gluten, antibiotics and added hormones.
Along with the launch of the new jerky, Country Archer has decided on a new design and brand strategy for its entire lineup of clean meat snacks this summer. The company said it will have a new logo to better reflect its mission of crafting real food and core values of real ingredients, sustainability and authenticity.
“Our brand has grown beyond focusing on meat jerky, and we wanted to create a new brand identity to better communicate the diversity of our portfolio and commitment to sustainability and real food,” Kang said. “Plus, our new look will make it even easier for shoppers looking for clean ingredients to find Country Archer on shelf.”
Earlier in February, Country Archer announced that it received a $12 million capital investment from private equity firm Monogram Capital Partners, which invested in Country Archer earlier in the year.
