HOUSTON — Marie Robinson has been named executive vice president and chief supply chain officer for Sysco Corp. In this role, Robinson will be responsible for leading the company’s supply chain transformation “aimed at accelerating profitable growth through more tailored supply chain solutions,” Sysco said.
Robinson joins Sysco from Capri Holding Ltd., parent company of Michael Kors, Versace and Jimmy Choo, where she was senior vice president, chief operations and transformation officer. Prior to her time with Capri, she was senior vice president of corporate strategy and chief operating officer for Michael Kors Holdings Ltd. Before that, Robinson was senior vice president and chief logistics officer for Toys R Us, and earlier she was senior vice president of supply and logistics for The Great Atlantic & Pacific Tea Co. Earlier in her career, Robinson was senior vice president of supply chain for Smart & Final Stores LLC and vice president of logistics for Walmart, Inc.
“I am thrilled to have a leader of Marie’s caliber join our team,” said Kevin Hourican, president and chief executive officer of Sysco. “She brings substantial experience leading international supply chain organizations, network transformation initiatives, distribution centers and private transportation fleets at a global scale. Her previous success in driving change through partnerships gives me great confidence that she will help us successfully drive transformative efforts at Sysco."
The addition of Robinson is Sysco’s second executive hire this year. In January, Hourican was appointed president and CEO.
