Julie Patton wanted some bacon during the quarantine and Smithfield Foods Inc., was happy to supply it.

After the 9-year-old’s plea for bacon was posted on her mother’s Facebook page this past month, and shared on 10 News in Virginia, Smithfield officials decided to get involved and send her a bevy of bacon products. 

Patton said she wanted to donate a portion of the bacon to people in need so they can enjoy bacon too.
