ATLANTA – Church’s Chicken launched its “Smokehouse Season” starting June 25 with the introduction of its new Campfire Smokehouse Chicken. The chain’s “Smokehouse Season” has been a summer food event for the past four years.
The half chicken, weighing nearly 1 lb, is marinated in a campfire seasoning, cooked without batter or breading and then brushed with a molasses glaze. The Campfire Smokehouse meal includes a half chicken, mashed potatoes and gravy and a signature Honey-Butter Biscuit for $5. Guests can also order Wild Berry Splash Tea and Lemonade and Wild Berry Cobbler – sweet berry cobbler filling layered with a Honey-Butter Biscuit.
The Campfire Smokehouse Chicken is also sold in a family meal deal which includes two half chickens, six chicken tenders, large mashed potatoes, and gravy and four Honey-Butter Biscuits for $20.
The Campfire Smokehouse Chicken is available in Church’s restaurants and is also available for delivery.
"Fans request Smokehouse Chicken all year long and we didn't want COVID-19 to stand in the way of people enjoying the ultimate comfort food of the summer,” said Brian Gies, chief marketing officer.
