LONDON, ONTARIO — Three Club House Slow Cooker Soup seasoning mixes have been added to this growing nine-item line from McCormick Canada.
The new products include Chicken Noodle and Beef Vegetable, which contain no artificial flavors, colors or trans-fat. Existing Club House Slow Cooker seasoning mixes include Pot Roast, Beef Stew, BBQ Pork, Chili, Italian Chicken and BBQ Ribs.
"Club House Slow Cooker Soups are so easy," says Jennifer Dionne, Group Marketing manager, McCormick Canada. "You simply add the desired fresh ingredients and seasoning mix to the slow cooker appliance, set it on low for eight hours or high for four hours, and come home to a delicious soup, as well as a home filled with tantalizing aromas."
Slow cooking has made a comeback in Canada in recent years, Ms. Dionne added. "According to the PMB Slow Cooker Appliance Usage Report, 65% of Canadian women (aged 25-50) owned slow cookers in 2006, up from 55% the year before. And slow cooker soup usage is also growing according to the NPD Crock Pot Usage Report, up from 4% of slow cooker meal occasions in 2005 to 14%in 2007."
