Thanksgiving will be a little different this year for a lot of people, according to new findings from the Food Industry Association’s ninth US Grocery Shopper Trends COVID-19 Tracker. The research, conducted by The Hartman Group, Bellevue, Wash., shows that nearly one-third of Americans say they are planning to do less this Thanksgiving than in previous years (30%). Other changes include getting together with fewer people (33%) and avoiding long-distance travel or travelers (26%). As work and school go, so goes Thanksgiving as 19% are planning virtual gatherings.
