SWEDESBORO, NJ. – In an effort to continue its expansion throughout North and South America, and to service customers in those regions, Thomas Foods International, a global meat processing and distribution company, has opened offices in Rio de Janeiro and Toronto.
“We are excited to continue to expand our procurement and distribution efforts,” said Michael Forrest, chief executive officer, Thomas Foods International, USA. “Our presence in these key geographies will increase our customer support and reinforce our commitment to our hands-on approach in the areas where we source and distribute our products.”
Thomas Foods’ Canadian business unit, led by industry veterans, will service retail and foodservice customers in the region. Australian lamb and beef, globally sourced veal, pork and meat alternatives are included in the company’s product offerings.
The new office in Brazil allows the company to provide more direct contact with suppliers and consumers in South America. The office is already fully staffed and operational.
Thomas Foods International was featured in the January issue of MEAT+POULTRY.
