CHICAGO — The Kraft Heinz Co. is building out its Just Crack an Egg breakfast brand with the debut of Just Crack an Egg Omelet Rounds.
Made with cage-free eggs, the rounds are packaged in microwavable trays of two that may be warmed in 50 seconds or eaten straight from the package. Just Crack an Egg Omelet Rounds come in four varieties: All American, Three Meat, Classic and Broccoli Cheddar.
The All American Omelet Rounds include uncured bacon and sharp cheddar cheese. Each package of two contains 280 calories, 20 grams of protein and 18 grams of fat.
The Three Meat rounds are made with pork sausage, uncured bacon, uncured ham and cheddar cheese. Each two-round serving contains 270 calories, 18 grams of protein and 18 grams of fat.
The Classic variety contains uncured ham, cheddar cheese, red pepper, green pepper and onion. The rounds contain 220 calories, 15 grams of protein and 14 grams of fat per two-piece serving.
The Broccoli Cheddar flavor features cheddar cheese and broccoli. Each package of two contains 240 calories, 15 grams of protein and 16 grams of fat.
“We love eggs at Just Crack an Egg — is there a more perfect food? Omelets are wonderfully delicious but also tricky to make,” said Maureen O’Neill, brand manager for Just Crack an Egg. “With Omelet Rounds, we want to introduce egg-loving fans to a quick and easy-to-prep way to get the best of a classic egg breakfast in the comfort of their kitchen or on the go.”
Just Crack an Egg Omelet Rounds are available in the refrigerated aisle of grocery stores nationwide for a suggested retail price of $3.49.
Kraft Heinz first launched its Just Crack an Egg brand in February 2018 with a line of breakfast cups featuring diced vegetables, Oscar Mayer meat, Kraft shredded cheese and Ore-Ida potatoes. The products are packaged in individual serving cups that may be prepared in less than two minutes; consumers stir in an egg and microwave to create a portable morning meal.
