NEW YORK – As an iconic foodservice institution in New York City dating back to 1937, Carnegie Deli is extending its rich history by making many of its most-popular products available for purchase online with delivery to customers’ doorsteps. At least one of those products, the All-Beef Frankfurter, is being promoted for Labor Day as a key part of backyard cookouts. Twenty-five, 9-inch frankfurters come in a 5-lb package and are shipped with a 12-oz bottle of Carnegie Deli Dusseldorf Mustard.
“These gargantuan nine-inch franks are juicy, jam-packed with flavor and have that signature snap,” according to the company. Each package serves 25 eaters and costs $89 including shipping via the company’s website.
Other Carnegie classics available to order are its Pastrami or Corned Beef Sandwich Kits, sliced pastrami or corned beef, knishes, pickles, cheesecakes, cookies and combination meals.
Carnegie Deli cuisine is also available at a concession stand in Madison Square Garden and, according to the company, its products are available for franchised locations and for licensed use on menus of qualified restaurants.
