KANSAS CITY, MO. — Officials with the North American headquarters of Multivac Inc., announced the retirement of Norm Winkel, effective May 15. Mr. Winkel, who is currently director of key accounts, has worked with the company for more than 33 years, in a career that started in the parts department. Through the years he worked his way up through the ranks to the position of general manager of the food division before assuming his current title in 2003.
Jan Erik Kuhlmann, Multivac’s president and chief executive officer expressed his gratitude for Mr. Winkel’s years of service and his confidence in his replacement, Matt Malott. Mr. Malott is a veteran of the packaging industry who has worked at the company since 1988 and is currently a key account manager.
“Norm Winkel has built a reputation for winning through the success of our customers,” said Mr. Kuhlmann. “That philosophy has been integral to the countless relationships he has cultivated in the industry as well as in the mentoring of his team inside Multivac, which includes his successor.
“While it’s tough to say goodbye, we are confident our key customers will continue to receive exceptional service and consultation from the team under the able leadership of Matt Malott,” Mr. Kuhlmann added. “We thank Norm for his distinguished service and wish him all the best for a long, happy and healthy retirement.”
