TROY, OHIO — Conagra Brands Inc. has unveiled plans to invest approximately $60 million to expand production capacity at its facility in Troy. The plant primarily makes Slim Jim products.
As part of the expansion, Conagra said it will add about 15,000 square feet to the 389,000-square-foot facility. The company also expects to add 100 new positions at the plant, which currently employs about 950.
Construction is expected to begin in August with startup scheduled for the first half of 2023, Conagra said.
In July 2020, Conagra announced plans to invest $100 million to expand the Troy meat snacks processing plant. At that time the company said it would add 63,000 square feet and include new packaging capabilities, new smokehouses and new drying rooms.
