KANSAS CITY, MO. – After 12 years of working as Managing Editor and, most recently, Executive Editor of MEAT+POULTRY, Kimberlie Clyma has assumed a new role as editor of Pet Food Processing, a sister publication under the Sosland Publishing Company banner. Succeeding Clyma is Erica Shaffer, who has been promoted to Managing Editor of MEAT+POULTRY.
After joining Sosland in 2009, Shaffer worked as the website editor of several Sosland titles before joining M+P as its Digital Media Editor in 2012. Most recently, Shaffer served as M+P’s Digital Media Senior Editor, a role she was promoted to in 2019.
“Stepping in as the editorial leader with PFP is a natural next step for Kimberlie, given the similarities in the pet food and meat and poultry processing industries,” said Dave Crost, publisher of M+P and PFP. “Through the years, she has gained the respect of M+P readers, including the supplier community and I am confident she will thrive in this new role.
