ARLINGTON, VA. — Sweet Earth Foods, a vegan food manufacturer based in Moss Landing, Calif., launched two frozen entrée bowls, Korean BBQ-Style Chik’n and Cacio e Pepe.
Sweet Earth said both bowls are non-GMO Project Verified and vegan.
The Korean BBQ-Style Chik’n Entrée Bowl features edamame, carrots, snap peas and sesame seeds over a cauliflower and brown rice blend. It was inspired by trending Korean flavors, combining sweet and spicy notes, the company said.
The Cacio e Pepe Entrée Bowl is inspired by a pasta dish originating in Rome. It is gluten-free and features chickpea pasta and vegetables with black pepper sauce made from cashews and vegan parmesan-style cheese.
“At Sweet Earth, we’re always looking to offer plant-based versions of the unique flavors and dishes consumers love,” said Jennifer Barnes, vice president and general manager of Sweet Earth Foods. “As schedules pick back up, we want to ensure we’re offering mindfully made and delicious veg-forward options that people can rely on to satisfy their taste buds and fuel their busy lifestyles.”
Both entrée bowls are available at select Target locations nationwide, with a suggested retail price of $4.99. The Korean BBQ-Style Chik'n Entrée Bowl will also be available at select Meijer, HEB and Giant Food stores nationwide beginning in June. Sweet Earth said more availability will come in the following weeks.
