WASHINGTON – Directive 7120.1, Revision 2: Safe and Suitable Ingredients Used in the Production of Meat, Poultry and Egg Products has been revised by the Food Safety and Inspection Service (F.S.I.S.), according to the American Meat Institute. This directive provides inspection program personnel with an up-to-date list of substances that may be used in producing meat, poultry and egg products.
This directive cancels F.S.I.S. Directive 7120.1, Safe and Suitable Ingredients Used in The Production of Meat and Poultry Products, Revision 1, dated Feb. 4, 2010.
