DALLAS — On July 26, Guatemala-based QSR Pollo Campero introduced the Spicy Chicken Sandwich, featuring habanero mayo. 

The “restaurant’s spiciest item” yet, comes fried or grilled and paired with three sweet pickles on a buttered brioche bun, Pollo Campero said.

“With our new Spicy Chicken Sandwich, we’ve raised the bar on what fans can expect from Pollo Campero,” said Luis Javier Rodas, managing director and chief operating officer. “Our habanero mayo, paired with our flavorful, one-of-a-kind Campero chicken, packs a punch and makes our new Spicy Chicken Sandwich the standout choice among all the other contenders.”

Customers can purchase the sandwich a la carte or as a meal with a Pollo Campero side choice, including Campero Beans, yuca fries, or sweet plantains. For a limited time, Pollo Campero is offering one free meal with the purchase of a Spicy Chicken Sandwich Meal.

Also, beginning July 29, customers in select cities can receive a complimentary drink with their sandwich purchase when their local temperature reaches a certain degree. Pollo Campero will email subscribers when the deal applies to their city. Participating cities include Dallas, Houston, Los Angeles, New York and Washington, DC.
