LOS ANGELES — Golden West Food Group’s premium burger brand Meat District announced on Aug. 18 that its product will be available in Kroger grocery stores nationwide.
“Our partnership with Kroger, the nation’s largest grocery chain, marks a major milestone for us. We’re thrilled and honored to be partnering with Kroger,” said Zack Leveson, chief operations officer of Golden West Food Group. “But more importantly, this partnership means that high-quality meat products will be available to a lot more people nationwide.”
The retailer will offer two types of burger patties including “The O.G.” which mixes 100% Angus Beef chuck, brisket and short rib to make the product. The other option, “Steak House,” features 100% Angus Beef tri-tip gourmet burger topped with garlic peppercorn seasoning.
Some seasonal offerings will include the Shaq Burger in partnership with Shaquille O’Neal and the Hatch Chile Pepper Jack patty.
Meat District branding for Golden West began in April 2019 and has featured various premium meats, including burgers and wings.
