PARIS – Provisur Technologies Inc., announced the opening of its European Provisur Innovation Center (PIC) in Plailly, France, near the Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport on Oct. 6.
The ceremony took place with Brian Perkins, president of Provisur and several other management representatives from the United States and Europe in attendance.
“The food industry is constantly evolving. In order to meet these ever-changing requirements, the PIC in Plailly, France, enables us to support our EMEA customers in using new sustainable technologies that achieve greater efficiency and a more economical production process,” said Oliver Kerdiles, vice president of separation and DMC at Provisur. “This leads to better products. At the same time, our collaborative approach allows us to expand our own know-how — for the benefit of our customers and their buyers.”
In the new facility, customers interested in development and testing can look at various applicable functions like defrosting, tumbling, pressing, slicing, grinding and mixing, forming, pasteurizing and separating. Provisur said the building will also have controlled room temperatures for a similar production environment.
The PIC will also offer a restaurant-style kitchen and a laboratory for product analysis.
Provisur added that the Plailly site will focus on development of clean-label products along with a segment for alternative proteins. The company mentioned that it would cooperate with ADM on alternative protein formulation development.
The company said customers would find industrial food processing equipment from brands like AM2C, Beehive, Cashin, Formax, Hoegger, Lutetia and Weiler.
