OAKLAND, CALIF. – Nestle USA has named Tony Sarsam, 48, president of its newly formed Direct Store Delivery (D.S.D.) division for Nestle USA based in Oakland, Calif.This new division will manage direct-store delivery operations for a number of Nestle USA businesses, including Nestle's newly acquired frozen pizza brands – DiGiorno, California Pizza Kitchen, Tombstone and Jack’s, as well as certain ice cream product brands.
Mr. Sarsam was formerly executive vice president of sales and operations for Dreyer's Grand Ice Cream, a separate Nestle USA division he joined in 2006. He began his career at PepsiCo, where he served many roles including factory manager, director of finance, region sales vice president for Frito-Lay, and vice president of sales strategy for PepsiCo North America.
Totaling 2009 sales of $10.4 billion, Nestle USA, is part of Nestle S.A. in Vevey, Switzerland — the world's largest food company with 2009 sales of $99 billion.
