WEBSTER CITY, IOWA — Midwest Quality Wholesale Inc., a subsidiary of Fareway Store Inc., recently purchased custom meat processing company Webster City Custom Meats Inc., based in Webster City, Iowa.

“Midwest Quality Wholesale’s acquisition of Webster City Custom Meats will provide additional resources and long-term viability to an already incredible company,” said Aaron Irlbeck, executive vice president of Midwest Quality Wholesale. “These two entities share Midwestern values of tradition, integrity, service, quality, locality and uniqueness. Under new ownership, one can expect the same high-quality products and professional service from Webster City Custom Meats — just more of it!

Webster City Custom Meats currently produces smoked ham, bacon, turkey, pork loins and sausage. In addition to its 65,000-square-foot main plant, Webster City Custom Meats’ site includes a 35,000-square-foot warehouse and a 9,000-square-foot truck garage.

As of May 1, Midwest Quality Wholesale took over operations at Webster City Custom Meats.
