TUCKER, GA. — The US Poultry & Egg Association (USPOULTRY) shared on July 13 that it promoted Gwen Venable to executive vice president – expo and communication services.
Venable will take over Nath Morris’ responsibilities as he moves into the role of president for USPOULTRY.
“Gwen will continue to lead the strategic communications, public relations, marketing and promotion for the association’s industry services and events and the annual IPPE,” said Nath Morris, president-elect for USPOULTRY. “Her previous industry experience being the lead exhibitor and marketing contact of a major processing equipment manufacturer brings an additional and important perspective to the success of IPPE.”
Before this promotion, Venable led the communications program for USPOULTRY as executive vice president of communications. Now, Venable will oversee the International Poultry Expo and some of the overall management of the International Production & Processing Expo (IPPE).
“IPPE continues to expand in size and scope,” Venable said. “I look forward to continuing to work with our partners, the American Feed Industry Association and the North American Meat Institute, and our exhibitors to further grow the success of this international event.”
Venable started working at USPOULTRY in December 2010.
Along with working with USPOULTRY, she’s served in various roles for the International Association of Exhibitions and Events (IAEE).
Venable holds a Bachelor and Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Georgia.
