OTTAWA, ONTARIO — The Village Kitchen is recalling a chicken curry product due to the discovery of an undeclared allergen, announced the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA). The agency’s inspection activities led to the discovery that the curry contained mustard, which was not listed on the product label.
The chicken curry came in two sizes — a 13-oz package with the UPC code 6 90523 11101 9 and a 28-oz package with the UPC code 6 90523 11102 6. The items were distributed to Ontario.
There have been no reports of adverse reactions due to consumption, CFIA noted.
CFIA is currently conducting a food safety inspection that could lead to the recall of additional products.
