WASHINGTON — Maspeth, NY-based Kingsland Food Processing Corp. is recalling an undetermined amount of several frozen meat and poultry products, announced the US Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) on July 27. Over 50 different items were produced without the benefit of federal inspection.
A list of the products, which were produced on various dates ranging from Nov. 1, 2022, to July 20, 2023, can be found here.
The frozen items have best before dates ranging from Aug. 1, 2023, to April 20, 2024. Labels for each product can be found here.
All the products bear the establishment number “EST. 48204” or “EST. P-48204” inside the USDA mark of inspection. They were shipped to wholesale customers in New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, California, Florida, and Texas.
FSIS discovered the issue when inspectors realized various meat and poultry products were being produced in rooms outside of Kingsland’s official property. Consequently, the items were not inspected.
The agency said there have been no confirmed reports of adverse reactions due to consumption.
