ANNAPOLIS, MD. — Hahn Bros. Inc. plans to expand its headquarters and meat processing operations in Carroll County, Md., announced Maryland Governor Wes Moore. Currently based in Westminster, the company plans to relocate to Hampstead, where it will build a 54,000-square-foot facility.

Hahn’s has purchased 10 acres of land at the corner of Maryland 482 and Panther Drive in Hampstead, where it plans to build its new headquarters.

“Through our expansion, we are excited to continue this journey of growth, working hand in hand with our Carroll County family to meet the evolving needs of our customers,” said Amanda Ladzinski, assistant general manager at Hahn’s. “This expansion not only signifies our physical development but also symbolizes our unwavering dedication to the values that have made us a trusted name in the industry.”

Officially founded in 1918, Hahn’s history dates back even further to 1896, when it began as a meat processing and packing plant. The company continues to use many of the original recipes of the family-owned business. It specializes in smoking domestic pork and beef with real hickory wood.

Hahn’s distributes its meat products to local retailers and restaurants. With the expansion, Hahn’s plans to add new jobs over the next five years, more than doubling its current workforce of 85 employees.

“Hahn’s is not only known for its outstanding food products, but also for its excellent customer service over the years,” Moore said. “This family business is a great example of a homegrown Maryland success story. We thank the company for reinvesting in Carroll County and its workforce with this new location.”

The Maryland Department of Commerce is working to approve a $400,000 conditional loan as well as a $25,000 workforce training grant for the project.
