GREELEY, COLO. — Wholesome Meats and Lockers LLC, located near Fort Lupton, Colo., is receiving over $12,000 through a grant from the Weld County Board of Commissioners.

The beef, pork, lamb and wild game processor is the 27^th small business to receive funding from the board’s Small Business Incentive Program (SBIP).

Wholesome Meats and Lockers will use the funds to help offset permitting and land use application fees.

SBIP was formed in 2014 with $500,000 from the county’s economic development fund. Since its establishment, the program has distributed a total of $441,114 to small businesses throughout Weld County.

To qualify for the program, businesses must be located in unincorporated Weld County and 50% of its staff must reside in Weld County at least one-year.
