CHICAGO — Meat snack brand Chomps announced on Jan. 9 that it would add Paul Kenny to its board of directors.
The company said Kenny’s sales and marketing expertise will help continued growth and explained that over the last year, their products became available in more than 20,000 retail locations.
“At Chomps, we value team members who never stop wanting to learn,” said Pete Maldonado, co-founder and chief executive officer for Chomps. “We are always promoting mentorship at every level of the company, and Paul joining gives the sales function and the executive team access to someone with a wide range of strategic revenue generation experience.”
Kenny brings more than 30 years of experience leading domestic and international sales and marketing teams with global consumer products from Procter & Gamble, Reckitt Benckiser, Nabisco Foods, Playtex Products, Combe Inc., and KIND Snacks.
In a recent role, Kenny worked as chief commercial officer at Yasso.
Chomps noted that as its brand evolves, the company consistently incorporates new channels and customers, bringing complexity and opportunities.
“Joining Chomps’ board of directors is an exciting opportunity to work with one of the fastest growing snacking brands in the country and I look forward to adding my passion and experience to the organization,” Kenny said.
In October, Chomps unveiled two new flavors of Chomplings, the meat snack company’s mini sticks.
