DES MOINES, IOWA — The World Pork Expo and the National Pork Producers Council opened registration for its event that will take place at the Iowa State Fairgrounds June 5-6.
“Although we may be facing one of the toughest periods in a generation, the 2024 World Pork Expo symbolizes our collective strength and the way this industry comes together,” said Lori Stevermer, president of NPPC. “Together, we’re turning challenges into opportunities and showcasing the unwavering spirit of pork producers.”
NPPC added that it wants to create a more robust two-day event where visitors can maximize every moment with valuable seminars, networking opportunities and live entertainment.
“This year, we want the event to focus on what matters most,” Stevermer said. “We’re embracing the power of coming together, sharing knowledge and celebrating achievements in a fun environment.”
The expo will feature an expansive trade show with more than 700 booths from around the world, where attendees can view the pork industry’s latest products, services, and technological advancements.
World Pork Expo plans to set up hospitality tent meet-and-greets for people to engage in dialogue with organization leaders. Some of the topics that will be discussed include legislative, regulatory and public policy developments shaping the future of pork production.
World Pork Expo will also offer lunch opportunities from the Big Grill.
