STEINBACH, MANITOBA — HyLife Ltd., a pork producer in Canada, said its new president and chief executive officer, Karan Sangfai, recently went on a listening tour across the company visiting various operations to connect with employees.

During his first weeks in the new position Sangfai toured numerous segments of HyLife’s fully integrated operations including the farm sites, its state-of-the-art Neepawa pork plant, distribution centers, wash bays and transportation locations.

The company explained that his hands-on approach demonstrates Sangfai’s commitment to gaining a deeper understanding of every aspect of the business and fostering a strong culture of collaboration.

“I am humbled by the depth of insight and passion displayed by our team members,” Sangfai said. “This is just the beginning, and I look forward to engaging with more of our amazing departments and locations. Together, we are building a culture of trust, collaboration, and continuous improvement.”

During one visit, HyLife said he spoke with Kevin Escobilla, manager of Neepawa Wash Bay, who voiced his excitement in joining the CEO for lunch.

“Meeting our new CEO was incredible,” Escobilla said. “I am starstruck; this is very good for morale. Seeing him on the ground, eating with us, talking with us, it encourages me more to do my work even better.”

Before taking on the role of CEO, Sanfgai worked as chief strategy officer for HyLife. Prior to joining the pork company, he held senior positions at CPF, Samsung Electronics and Myanmar CP Group.
