RICHFIELD, UTAH — Utah Beef Producers LLC (UBP) recently announced that it would have a grand opening on its new processing plant in Richfield, Utah, on March 30.
The company said the event would showcase the USDA-certified meat processing facility, with the public able to tour the building. Attendees can learn more about UBP’s processing techniques, sustainable practices and humane processing methods.
UBP plans to serve burgers made from UBP’s premium beef with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 12:30 p.m.
“The event promises to be a significant milestone for Utah’s agricultural sector, offering an innovative model for local meat processing and direct-to-consumer sales,” the company said in a press release. “UBP is proud to contribute to Utah’s food security and support the local economy.”
UBP also noted that the grand opening will include a fundraiser for the plant’s observation classroom along with highlighting its partnership with the Snow College and Utah State University as it commits to community and agricultural education.
“Utah Beef Producers grand opening is an invitation to experience the plant’s vision for a sustainable and community-oriented future in meat processing,” the company added.
