ATLANTA — Krispy Krunchy Chicken, a convenience store-based foodservice company, recently held its annual conference. The event brought together various employees and stakeholders to discuss the company’s growth plans and menu updates.
Krispy Krunchy Chicken recently opened nearly 500 new units and started to work toward simplifying its menu, keeping its supply chain optimized, and launching its Cajun Chicken Sandwich during January.
The company, which added a corporate office in Atlanta, expects to open more than 700 stores in 2024. Krispy Krunchy Chicken currently operates nearly 3,000 locations across 47 states in the United States.
Jim Norberg, the new chief executive officer at Krispy Krunchy Chicken, also touted the “Core Four” plan, which includes adding new stores, enhancing same-store sales growth, optimizing its system and helping operator profitability.
“Next Generation is all about getting better,” Norberg said “It’s our belief and commitment to continuous improvement. We’re expanding from being a strong foodservice brand within convenience stores to establishing ourselves as the best fried chicken brand in the country. As we strengthen connections with our team members, operators and supplier partners, we are committed to driving profitability, creating an unparalleled workplace culture and setting the standard for serving your favorite fried chicken.”
