COLUMBUS, WIS. — Lyco Manufacturing Inc. announced a third expansion of its Columbus, Wis., plant, which will add over 100,000 square feet of operational space. 

“Expanding our facility and continuing to make improvements to our manufacturing process allows us to improve our efficiency while lowering cost, deliver machinery faster, accelerate our technological innovations and provide the highest quality machinery,” said Brad Weber, vice president of operations at Lyco. “Lyco’s passion is developing the best, most innovative processing equipment in the world, and we will continue to grow while doing just that.”

Lyco equipment covers a variety of food preparation functions with cookers, coolers, blanchers, pasteurizes, peelers and snap bean equipment. The manufacturer services several food production applications, including 50 of the top 100 food companies in North America.

The list of Lyco’s offerings continues to expand, with current solutions serving a number of industries like those specializing in pasta, rice, dry beans, vegetables, protein processing and sous vide. Additionally, Lyco offers liquid solid separating equipment that recycles water, saving customers over 3 billion gallons of water in 2023 alone.

Originally headquartered in Arlington, Wis., Lyco moved to Columbus in 1984.

The latest expansion is expected to be completed in May 2024.
