PITTSBURGH, PA. – Seegrid Corp., a leading provider of autonomous mobile robot (AMR) solutions for material handling, announced Abe Ghabra as the company’s chief operating officer on May 15.
In addition to overseeing Seegrid’s day-to-day operations, Ghabra is expected to play a role in driving the company’s strategic initiatives and accelerating its expansion in manufacturing, warehousing and logistics facilities across the United States. Specifically, Ghabra will oversee supply chain, quality, manufacturing, customer deployments, and after-sale customer service and success. Leveraging his extensive background in strategic planning, product development, and operations management, Ghabra also will lead Seegrid’s efforts to optimize operational efficiency, ensure product quality, and ultimately deliver the highest levels of customer satisfaction with, and return on investment from Seegrid solutions, the company said.

Ghabra joins Seegrid from Motional, a manufacturer of driverless vehicles. As COO at Motional, he spearheaded global autonomous vehicle operations in testing and commercial applications, as well as enterprise functions such as safety, IT, cybersecurity, and workplace experience, to deliver overall organizational success.

Ghabra holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering as well as an MBA from the University of Michigan.
