FLAWIL, SWITZERLAND – Provisur is touting the company’s range of separation systems, which were highlighted during Anuga FoodTec in April. The separation machines on display included the world premiere of the redesigned Bone Cannon, the STS 2000 and the SME 1830.
The newly redesigned Bone Cannon debuted at the 2024 Anuga FoodTec. The machine separates meat from the bones ensuring that processors get the highest possible return on their raw material investment, Provisur said.
“The new design offers even greater meat recovery to keep valuable protein out of the waste stream and meet today’s demands for affordable proteins in applications such as meatballs, sausages and more,” according to the company.
Additional benefits of the Bone Cannon’s new design include reduced water consumption and, with the new motor, lower energy consumption. Users will notice reduction in noise and the maintenance concept has been redesigned to make it even more user-friendly, Provisur said.
“Ease of use and excellent yield combine to make the new Bone Cannon a standout in hygiene and sustainability,” the company added.
The Soft Tissue Separator STS 2000 offers users high-quality and efficient separation of beef, pork and poultry, according to Provisur. The STS 2000 eliminates tendons, cartilage, bone fragments and sinew while preserving the integrity and structure of the food.
“Our STS 2000 separator is ideal for operations that require high-quality outputs,” said Olivier Kerdiles, vice president of Separation. “One of the biggest challenges for operations that involve soft-tissue products is the removal of bone fragments while maintaining the quality of the meat and fish. With the STS, higher yields and higher quality end products go hand in hand.”
The STS 2000 is suitable for depacking when, for example, the reprocessing of defective articles becomes necessary, or when the best-before date has passed. The machine cleanly separates products and packaging for products such as potatoes and fish, or even kebabs on a wooden stick, the company said.
Finally, the SME 1830 offers a high return on investment in a small footprint. An entry-level machine, the SME 1830 recovers meat on bones and prevents valuable protein from entering the waste stream.
Although compact and lean the SME 1830 handles a wide range of applications, according to Provisur, such as MDM and MSM from beef, pork, poultry and while delivering the material for sausages and nuggets. In addition, it can handle fish and fruit.
“All of our separation systems at Provisur boost sustainability,” Kerdiles said. “We design machines that recover as much protein as possible, delivering more food and therefore making food more affordable. The durability of our separation systems makes them a sound investment for our customers.”
