IOWA FALLS, IOWA – Iowa Select Farms confirmed on May 24 that the company named Nick McCulley as president of the pork operation.

The company said that McCulley joins the group with a 22-year track record in the swine production industry, where he’s gained expertise in strategic planning, financial performance, operational excellence, and fostering collaborative work environments.

“Nick is passionate about our mission and values,” said Jeff Hansen, chief executive officer at Iowa Select Farms. “We are confident that his leadership will be instrumental in advancing our vision and driving our company’s success.”

McCulley will report directly to Hansen.

Before taking this position, McCulley worked as global supply chain director at PIC, which worked with genetic production and managed key teams in nutrition, health service, breed-to-wean, and wean-to-market.

Prior to working at PIC he served as chief operating officer of M2P2 LLC which oversaw sow operations in Colorado, Oklahoma, and North Carolina and finishing operations in Iowa, producing 1.3 million pigs annually.

McCulley grew up close to the Tri-Oak Foods production system in Oakville, Iowa, where his extended family helped found the 70,000-farrow-to-finish operation. The business has since merged with JBS.

He holds a Master of Business Administration and a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Business from Iowa State University.
