CANON, GA. — Jarrett Foods announced operations have begun at its newly renovated and expanded headquarters in Canon, Ga.
“We are excited that our new poultry processing facility is operational,” said Heath Jarrett, chief executive officer of Jarrett Foods. “We look forward to producing high-quality poultry products that are tailored specifically to each client needs.”
Jarrett Foods began construction on the existing 44,853-square-foot facility in fall 2023. With the expansion, the plant spans 53,972 square feet.
While the plant operations started with a team of 70 employees, Jarrett Foods plans to increase the number to 300 in the first year.
“Our ultra-modern plant will feature a full range of further-processing capabilities,” said Terry Willis, president of Jarrett Foods. “Our investment in top-of-the-line processing equipment will allow us to deliver consistent, high-quality products and custom processing solutions.”
Jarrett Foods offers a wide range of services to its customers, including whole bird cut-up, custom breast and thigh deboning, breast and tender hand portioning, marination, and re-packing.
Earlier this month, Jarrett Foods announced the appointment of Neil Martin as plant manager of the new facility. Other leadership includes Toni Jarrett serving as chief financial officer and Patrick Ceska serving as marketing and PR director.
