MISSISSAUGA, ONTARIO — Maple Leaf Foods Inc. announced on July 23 that it appointed Fareed Khan to the company’s board of directors.

Throughout his career, Khan has worked in leadership roles around the food industry including at Kellogg’s and US Foods. According to LinkedIn, he currently serves as chief financial officer for JustFoodForDogs (JFFD) since June 2022.

Khan holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree from Carleton University and a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Chicago, Graduate School of Business. He has served on the Board of Foundation Building Materials and the Wake Forest University, Board of Visitors and Engineering Advisory Board.
In early July, Maple Leaf announced that it approved a plan to split its pork business into a separate company and create two publicly traded businesses.
